Bomb Poppy is cool as ice and ready for some summertime fun! When she’s not chillin’ in the freezer, she enjoys lounging in a cool pool or dancing to some sweet beats with her ice pop friends!

#6 Chunky Blanket Yarn
in red, white, blue, brown
little bit of pink yarn (for cheeks)
little bit of red yarn (for mouth)
another color for optional bow
HOOK
6mm/J/10
OTHER ITEMS
10mm Safety Eyes
tiny bit of polyfill stuffing Yarn Needle
Scissors
With Brown:
Round 1: Ch 2. 6 sc in 2nd chain from the hook. Sl st to first sc, ch 1. (6)
Round 2-3: Sc in each stitch around. Sl st to first sc, ch 1. (6)
Round 4: Sc in each stitch around. Change to Blue with the slip stitch to the first sc, ch 1. Cut Brown yarn. (6)
With Blue:
Round 5: Working this round in the front loops only, (sc inc) in each stitch around. Sl st to first sc, ch 1. (12)
Round 6: (sc, sc inc)* repeat from * around. Sl st to first sc, ch 1. (18)
Round 7: (Working this round in back loops only, sc in each stitch around. Sl st to first sc, ch 1. (18)
Round 8: Sc in each stitch around. Sl st to first sc, ch 1. (18)
Round 9: Sc in each stitch around. Change to White with the slip stitch to the first sc, ch 1. Cut Blue yarn. (18)
With White:
Round 10-12: Sc in each stitch around. Sl st to first sc, ch 1. (18)
Round 13: Sc in each stitch around. Change to Red with the slip stitch to the first sc, ch 1. Cut White yarn. (18)
With Red:
Round 14: Sc in each stitch around. Sl st to first sc, ch 1. (18)
Round 15: (sc, sc2tog)* repeat from * around. Sl st to first sc, ch 1. (12)
Add Face Details:
Turn Bomb Poppy over so that the working yarn and hook are in the back. The face details will be added to the front. Place safety eyes between rounds 12 and 13, with 3 or 4 stitches between them. Stitch cheeks below each eye, 1 stitch across. Stitch mouth on row 12, 1 stitch wide.
Grab a handful of stuffing and stuff the body.
Round 16: Sc in each stitch around. Sl st to first sc, ch 1. (12)
Round 17: (Sc2tog)* repeat from * around. Sl st to first sc, ch 1. (6)
Round 18: Sc in each stitch around. Sl st to first sc. (6)
Add a little more stuffing into the top of the head.
Cut Red yarn leaving a 12 inch tail. Thread tail into yarn needle. Sew the top closed.
Weave in end and finish off!
Bow:
Row 1: Ch 5. Sc in 2nd chain from the hook and next 3 sts. Ch 1 turn. (4)
Row 2: Sc in each st across. (4)
Finish off and weave in ends.
Cut a 12 inch piece of yarn. Use the yarn to tie a tight knot in the center of the rectangle just made, forming it into a bow shape. Wrap the yarn around the center of the rectangle a few times then tie again. Use the ends to stitch the bow onto Poppy’s head.
