For this pattern you will need:  

Size 4 medium weight yarn (about 1,800 yards)

Size J crochet hook

Scissors

Yarn Needle 

The finished blanket measures 43 inches by 65 inches.

Instructions:

with yarn A, chain 135 (43 inches x 65 inches)

R1 sc in second ch from hook and in next chain. *2hdc, 2dc, 2tr, 2hdc, 2sc; rep from * to end, turn (218)

R2 ch1, sc in first st, sc in next, *2hdc, 2dc, 2tr, 2dc, 2hdc, 2 sc, rep from * to end, turn.  Change to next yarn color. 

R3 ch 3 (counts a 1 tr throughout) tr in second st, *2 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 tr, rep from * to end, turn.  

R4 repeat row 3  Change yarn color.  

R5 ch 1 sc in first st and in next st, *2hdc, 2dc, 2tr, 2dc, 2hdc, 2sc; rep from * to end, turn

R6 repeat row 5.  

R7- 124  repeat rows 3-6, changing colors every two rows.
